Hi,

Just in case some parents with the same concern read this, I'd like to say that my daughter (a middle-schooler too) revealed a similar behaviour a few months ago, and (fortunately) in this case the reason was much simple: she was completely obsessed with her cellphone because she was dating a boy, and they were always texting messages to each other.

It was just the silly excitement of the first dating, nothing to worry about. :)

Regards
